Booking, Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

SML Surgical Care is the trading name of Stanilov Medical Ltd (Company Number: 12440298). We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and operating fairly and transparently in managing appointments.

To confirm any appointment at SML Surgical Care, a deposit of £50 is required. This deposit is not an additional fee and will be deducted from the final cost of your visit, which may include consultation fees, treatment charges, or diagnostic test costs.

This policy is designed to balance fairness to patients with the need to manage clinical resources responsibly. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Booking Confirmation

Your appointment will only be confirmed once the £50 deposit has been received. This ensures your time is reserved exclusively and our clinical resources are allocated efficiently.

Cancellation

You may cancel your appointment without charge and receive a full refund of your deposit if you provide at least 24 hours' notice before your scheduled appointment time.
If you fail to attend your appointment without notice, or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited to cover administrative and clinical resource costs.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule your appointment without charge if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
If you contact us within 12 to 24 hours of your scheduled appointment and have exceptional circumstances, we may allow a one-time rescheduling at our discretion, without forfeiting your deposit.
Cancellations within 12 hours are not eligible for a refund. In such cases, patients may reschedule once free of charge under exceptional circumstances, but the deposit will not be refundable.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that emergencies and unforeseen situations may arise. If you are unable to attend and notify us between 12 to 24 hours before your appointment with valid exceptional circumstances (e.g. medical emergency, bereavement), we may offer rescheduling without additional charge. However, cancellations in this timeframe will not qualify for a refund.
